9-11 Memorial Foundation Texas
Purpose
This website is dedicated to the construction and display of a bronze and granite life-sized sculpture in Grapevine, Texas. The sculpture memorializes the bravery and heroism of the 343 FDNY firemen, who on September 11, 2001, sacrificed their lives while responding to the terrorist attack at the New York City World Trade Center.
Shown above is a rendition of the memorial depicting a firefighter kneeling before a granite monolith engraved with the names of his fallen brothers. The sculpture will be elevated, placed on a limestone pedestal, and permanently located at Fire Station #1 at the corner of Boyd Drive and Turner Road in Grapevine, Texas. Please see map below.
History
The 9-11 Memorial Foundation Texas has a very successful track record. Our first endeavor (shown below) was the construction of the internationally recognized 9-11 Flight Crew Memorial located at 1000 Texan Trail ,Grapevine, Texas 76051 on the southwest corner of Texan Trail and Northwest Highway. It has been donated by the 9-11 Memorial Foundation Texas to the the City of Grapevine guaranteeing perpetual care and maintenance.

Funding
We are a 501(c)(3) corporation. All contributions are fully tax deductible. The 9-11 Memorial Foundation Texas will directly solicit aid from individuals and private corporate donors to help us achieve our goal.
Our goal for this project is $35,000 we have raised $23,800 (68%) as of 3/1/2012. The molds are finished. The bronze casting will begin when funding is available. The engraved granite monolith is finished and has been delivered to us. The limestone base is being designed and will be ordered soon.
